You’ll notice some immediate changes after each session, but complete tattoo removal is a gradual process that requires patience. Most patients need a minimum of 6-8 sessions. Cover tattoos with clothing or bandages when outdoors. Avoid Accutane for at least 6 months before treatment. It’s always a good idea to be well-rested, hydrated, and healthy before your appointment to ensure optimal healing!

Keep your tattoo clean and apply Soothe + Protect Recovery Balm as directed by your provider. Keeping your tattoo moisturized will help prevent scabbing and lower your risk of scarring. Do not soak your tattoo for at least one week after your session, and keep your tattoo out of the sun at all times (or use mineral-based SPF). Avoid exfoliating until your tattoo has healed, and depending on the size of your tattoo and the intensity of your treatment, consider avoiding strenuous exercise for a few days after.

Normal side effects include swelling, blistering, and temporary redness. Your tattoo may also itch as it begins to heal and your body breaks down the ink. These side effects typically resolve within a few days, especially when using our recommended Soothe + Protect Recovery Balm.
